Catching a fish is a pretty amazing thing if you think about it. You're trying to trick a fish into eating some that is real but has a big hook going through the middle of it, OR you're using a lure that isn't real to imitate something that is. I would say that fish are pretty opportunistic feeders but that doesn't mean they are going to eat when, what, where, or how you want them to. With that being said, catching a single fish seems like a pretty daunting task. Sure it still works, but every once in a while we need to just take a moment and appreciate the challenge for what it is. So if it takes that much skill to catch ONE fish, what in the world does it say to catch two fish at the same time. On top of that, how amazing is it that my buddy Tommy caught two different species of fish at the same time? Add to that fact that one of the fish is almost the same size as the lure itself, and well friends, this is a pretty amazing event. Well done Tommy, thanks for the pictures, and PLEASE feel free to send my your pictures and stories to include on this site. This website is nothing without its readers so please feel free to contribute.

Tommy also forwarded this image to me as well. It came from the Field & Stream Facebook page. Well worded Mr. Lyons.
