Opening Day of Trout Season Story
Wow! If this story doesn't stir up some emotions in you, then you might want to check your pulse! I just love fishing stories that visit the past and show how fishing can bring a lifetime of happiness to someone's life. What I wouldn't give to sit down with Gary and Ellie Madole (the featured folks in this story) and listen to their stories. Aside from being a touching story, this article was written by one of my favorite authors who retired from the Kansas City Star about a year ago, Brent Frazee. He has a great writing style as well as perspective on the outdoors that is easy to read and evokes a lot of imagery.
