Wendy and I got to head down to Bennett Spring last weekend and the fish were definitely biting. They seemed to be in a prespawn mode (if that's a thing with trout) and seemed to be both hungry and aggressive. They were also full of sperm and eggs as were evidenced when you would catch a fish occasionally or when we cleaned a few. We didn't manage to catch any tagged fish but probably caught close to 100 fish between Friday morning and Sunday at noon.
What was your rig set up? Haven't had any luck there this year.
ReplyDeleteI fish really simple. I just fish a small white jig about 2 feet under a strike indicator. It's simple, effective, and works almost all the time! Good luck and I hope you are able to start catching a few!
