A Missouri Poaching Case and Free Fishing Day for Kids- News From the Missouri Department of Conservation.

Someone around Hayti, Missouri, has been killing large numbers of turtles and dumping their carcasses in a pasture.  The Missouri Department of Conservation is looking for leads in this case and offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of guilty parties.

On a lighter note, The Missouri Department of Conservation and the James Foundation are sponsoring a Kids' Fishing Day at Meramec Spring on Saturday May 19.  Free food, drawings, and contests will be available.  If you live in the St. Louis or St. James area and have kids, then this could be a great opportunity to make some fishy memories.
