Family Day

If you live in the Kansas City area and are looking for an family-friendly event that introduces kids to outdoor skills, this is an event you might want to consider attending.  The Missouri Department of Conservation is holding a free Family Outdoors Day at James A. Reed Conservation Area on September 22 from 10-3.  Attendees will be able to participate in shooting in b.b. guns, throwing atl atl's, shooting at archery targets, and fishing.  Ducks Unlimited will be partnering with MDC to host this event and will be teaching kids how to use a duck call as well as offering free kids' memberships.  This even coincides with National Hunting and Fishing Day and looks to be a lot of fun!  I plan on taking my boys so I hope to see you there.  We will be the guys there wearing shirts that say Show Me Fly Guy so don't be a stranger and we would like to see you there.  I'm always happy to talk to readers so feel free to introduce yourself!
