I have seen this fly before and I can't stop thinking about how simple it is but how effective it might be. Basically, it is a rabbit strip tied on a extra wide gap worm hook with some dumbbell eyes for weight. I just keep thinking, "Could something this simple really be that effective?" Well I'm going to try to find out this spring. There will be a series of posts about this fly that include research (today), tying (tomorrow), testing (Wednesday maybe), and then field research (this spring).
