There have been multiple posts on this fly on this site. There have been documented ties, tweaks, and tests. (Feel free to check out the past posts show below). Just three days ago, I was able to play around with this critter at a local lake. I wasn't trying to catch anything, just looking how it swam. The results were pleasantly surprising! When jerked, this fly darts to a side almost like a jerk bait. When steadily retrieved, it swims almost like a swimbait. It sinks like a rock and casts easily on an eight weight. It holds a lot of water, but that doesn't bother me. In other words, this fly has checked all of the boxes.
Only now do I feel comfortable selling this fly. I wouldn't dream of selling a fly that I didn't have absolute faith in and I mean that sincerely. However, you should be warned that this is my most expensive fly in the Etsy store. It is articulated which means it requires wire and an articulated shank. While it only contains one hook, that hook is a Gamakatsu B10S size 1 hook. It is also tied with gamechanger chenille and a fair amount of it. When those things are added together, I hope you can see how this fly carries a $7.00 price tag. Also, there are only 6 of these available because of limited tying material availability. I have more materials on the way, but until then this is what I have.
