I recently had the absolute pleasure to attend Cheyenne Frontier Days in Cheyenne, Wyoming. It is the world's largest outdoor rodeo and it was amazing. I haven't attended a rodeo in years but have become more interested because my father-in-law absolutely loves it. Our seats were right behind the chutes and we were so close that we actually got hit with dirt that was kicked up by the bulls and horses. I have a huge amount of respect for all of the cowboys and cowgirls that participated. They are tough, brave, and strong. They are everything that I wanted to be when I was a kid and wanted to grow up to be a cowboy. If you ever get the chance to attend, I believe you would come away with a strong respect for these individuals and the strong pride in city, state, and nation that was on display at the rodeo as well.
