If you're reading this, it is likely that you fly fish. If you also attempt to hit a small white ball with a long stick into a little hole from hundreds of yards away, this is the perfect event for you. This golf tournament is being held in the Kansas City area (Lake Quivira to be exact) and a portion of the proceeds go to Frontline Fly Fishing. This is an amazing organization that helps to improve the quality of life for first responders (police, firefighters, EMS, ER workers, etc.) and military veterans.
I have seen the results of this program first-hand and I can attest that it has indeed helped make the lives of people better. Frontline Fly Fishing members go on fishing trips, have fly tying sessions, and even build rods together. Through camaraderie, nature, and fly fishing, the healing process can begin for those that have become physically or emotionally injured while trying to help others.
All of the information that you could possibly need can be found in the images in this post. I am also including meeting dates and times below in case you or someone you know might benefit from this organization. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at showmeflyguy@gmail.com and I will either answer your question or refer you to someone that can.
